Even though I’m going on my 4th time leading my Right-Brain Entrepreneur Mentorship Program, I have to admit, that this flagship offering almost didn’t happen when I first launched it a few years ago!

In fact, I share about my initial launch “FAIL” in my conversation with the fabulous Jen Louden. You can listen to the story here.

Thank goodness I stuck with it and found a way to make this offer work for folks. If I hadn’t then so many amazing right-brainers would’ve missed out on the support they’d been craving to get to the next level of success.

Doors close on Friday, June 13th, so if you want support building your business the right-brain way, join us!

We had our first live teaching on moola-making this week (don’t worry there’s still time to catch up) and here’s what a few of our cohorts shared…

Concerned you might “fall through the cracks” in a group program? Lezette feels like she’s getting highly personalized attention and has already taken action!

“I now have a mastermind of talented women for feedback, encouragement and accountability. My work is being looked at by someone other than my poodle. I was worried that the amount of people in the Cohort Circle would be overwhelming or I might fall through the cracks BUT Jennifer Lee and her AMAZING coaches treat me as a team member and make me feel like I’m having a one on one every time they respond to a question or idea I have. The other women in the group are turning out to be the highlight of this experience. My fellow cohorts are talented and I’m learning from them everyday. Since joining the Cohort Circle I’ve implemented strategies and systems to gaining more email subscribers. This was done from the accountability of the circle.” – Lezette Markham, Creative Facilitator, Mentor and Artist, simplyartoc.com

Find a safe space to get support like Jennifer Cockrum of JBC Studios has:

Everything has a season or “Life-Cycle” and the more we understand it the better. The universe is governed by cycles and we live with-in that balance. Our delicate world is as fragile as butterfly wings and we can float or be torn on the winds of change. (Enough with Metaphysics 101)

HOW IS THIS CONNECTED TO CREATIVITY?

Your creative energy will go through it’s own cycle’s filled with highs and lows. Even INSPIRATION follows the path of seasonal change. Perhaps you will find yourself in one of these stages. Here’s a simple description…

Aha – It’s that light bulb moment which can happen anywhere and at anytime. My “Aha” moments are often inconvenient and I’m usually scrambling for a piece of paper.

Heavenly – The daydream stage of “I can, I can.” This is where we talk to everyone about our inspiration and expect them to feel our joy.

Self-doubt – There’s usually someone in our close circle waiting to tell us “You can’t, You can’t.” Then we begin to doubt the significance of our inspiration or it could be more work then we expected. (Note: Flight or Fight, this is when we have to make a personal choice.)

Belief in Self – Determined because you found tools to succeed. Like surrounding yourself with positive people, redoing your RBBP or hiring a coach. What ever works for you. Stick to your plan and you will shout, “I did it, I did it!”

PEACE be the Journey,

Ho’o

All In

Girls playing at the poolGuest post by licensed Right-Brain Business Plan® Facilitator Cass Mullane

I’m in the midst of creating my first new media book, Cool Stuff Jar, and related products. It’s amazing how all the pieces are suddenly falling into place after about 14 months of pondering, planning and doing. There’s something about persistence and resilience and putting it out there that pays off over time. Guess the message is: keep going, all in, no matter what!

Last week my copy of Jennifer Lee’s new book, Building Your Business the Right-Brain Way: Sustainable Success for the Creative Entrepreneur, arrived at my studio. What a thrill it was to see my artwork and my Cool Stuff Jar featured! Definitely a happy dance and another card in my CS Jar. In August I’ll have a chapter in Succeeding Through Doubt, Fear and Crisis which will release at the eWomen Network Annual Conference in Dallas. Then videos and an audio and other exciting happenings… did I say that everything was suddenly starting to fall into place?

I’ve also found that the more I develop this project, the simpler it is to stand in my own space and be who I am: happy, curvy, funny, smart, creative, colorful, authentic. I’ll admit that at first it was pretty scary to even tell anyone what I was dreaming up. I worried about acceptance, approval, etc., etc., etc. What an energy waster! So I decided to throw those negative mind monkeys a banana and move ahead with the project… all in, no matter what!

As part of taking stock of what was most important to me, I had to make some hard decisions about what was going to stay on my plate and what was going to have to come off. For example, I’m a Board Member of the Southern Women’s Chamber of Commerce, a group I’ve been part of for years. I take my leadership role very seriously because I’m one of those “all in” kind of people. But when I took an objective look at my time and what I needed to get accomplished in a compressed timeframe, I could see that I had to step back from that role. So effective this month, I’m on hiatus. I’ve had to do the same thing with two other large projects that are near and dear to me. Not easy, but absolutely necessary to keep moving ahead with the Cool Stuff Jar project.

Finally, I’ve found that fully embracing this Cool Stuff Jar project is getting really easy because stepping into my gifts is what’s really important here. I feel lighter, refreshed and rejuvenated. I have more space, I have a clearer head and I’m really focused on where I’m going. And that’s a fabulous way to start each day!
So, here are a few questions for you:

•  What projects are really important to you? Do you have something that’s just sitting there that you’re itching to get to work on?
•  Are you making room for this project in your world? What needs to come off your plate to bring your project to life?
•  How does it make you feel when you think about the possibilities? What’s keeping you from standing in your space and claiming your gifts?

I encourage you to take a close look at what’s really important to you, then make the decision to step into your greatness and go All In!

The Life-Cycle of an IDEA

Hoo doodleGuest post by licensed Right-Brain Business Plan® Facilitator Ho’omalamalama Brown

Are you one of those people who get ideas all the time? Maybe you’ve noticed that someone had the exact same idea as you. Perhaps they did something about it.

Let’s do a doodle break down of an IDEA…
1. Inspiration – the “aha” moment that struck you.
2. Dream – this is when you daydream about all the possibilities.
3. Move or die – I don’t know how to say it delicately but this is the tipping point for all IDEAS. You have to add movement or take action. Much like a healthy body, movement is required for circulation and life. You cannot sustain life by sitting in the dream state of mind.
4. Do 1 small step at a time – if you don’t know where to start read a book, google “how to start _____” or ask someone for help. Little steps make the journey possible.

NEWS YOU CAN USE
For those if you who signed up for the Premium group during the Right-Brainers Summit I will be doing a free TO-DOodle session. We’ll break down your big idea one doodle at a time.

It’s hard to believe that the 4th annual Right-Brainers in Business Video Summit has come and gone! We had thousands of creative souls gather around our virtual circle. Several of our participants have attended all 4 summits and we welcomed lots of new folks, too, who finally found their home with us right-brainers.

We celebrated the launch of my second book Building Your Business the Right-Brain Way, each day I did some teaching from the new material, and we learned so much from our guest experts. We wrapped up week 2 on Friday and it was an absolutely amazing way to close out this incredible event.

Here are a few quotes from our vibrant chat room from our final day.

JuliaAM: Jenn challenged us to “sell something” to pay for Premium. I figured out how to do that and was able to come up with the money. AND I raised my price so I’ll have a profit. That’s crazy!

TheGuavaProject: I have goosebumps all over my body right now Goodness – these last 15 minutes have been transformational all on their own

Gracielu_: This session’s gonna touch my heart like no other today

tekpoet: Thank you! I had the time of my life with you!

Want to get a taste of what the event was like? You can watch the week 2 highlights video above to see practical and inspiring tips from Melanie Duncan, Beth Barany, Cory Huff, Susan Miller, Christine Kane, Alexandra Franzen, Kiala Givehand, and Marney Makridakis.

And good news, if you missed some of the summit… we’ve extended the final 3 replays. You can still catch up (or binge watch) through Monday, April 21st 8pm PDT on these amazing sessions:

  • Christine Kane who took us deep into the spiritual side of business AND gave us practical systems and suggestions for creating sustainable success. She described the process of upleveling and how it’s an evolution of your soul and your business!) Plus I had a fun, experiential surprise exercise that was for some one of the biggest shifts for them at the summit.
  • Alexandra Franzen who gave us a simple structure for introducing yourself. The structures she shared helped spark new ways of people articulating what they do. I’ve heard some great intros now from the folks sharing in the Premium group!
  • We also had our last live Show and Tell Spotlight with Shooting Star Kiala Givehand who was LIVE and in-person in my creative space. You’re going to be so inspired by this incredible woman of action. My desk was overflowing with all of her creative products and offerings!
  • And one of my most favorite creative cohorts Marney Makridakis who provided a super fun way to think of product or program ideas. It’s a great structure for sparking your creativity. Plus I shared a personal and heartfelt story that brought me and many watching to tears. I hope it moves you to do whatever it takes to go after something you really want. As veteran summit watcher Tori Deaux shared in chat, “It’s not a summit until Jenn cries. *sniffle*”

Sign-up here to catch these extended replays now before they’re gone!

Enjoy!

We had an amazing first week at the 4th annual Right-Brainers in Business Video Summit!

We’ve been celebrating the launch of my 2nd book Building Your Business the Right-Brain Way and learning from an incredible line-up of speakers including NY Times Bestselling Author Michael Port, Lilla Rogers, Alicia Forest, Megan Auman, and Vivienne McMaster plus live Spotlights with Nicole Piar, Sarah Stevenson, and Bindi Shah.

I’ve also been giving some mini-teachings around the new material in my book including highlighting some of the colorful playsheets and exercises.

If you missed our free live video chat sessions or 48-hour replays, you can catch some highlights here. I’ve put together clips of some of my favorite moments of our guest interviews, so take a peek at the video above to see what you’ve missed (or to be re-inspired!).

What this video doesn’t capture is the energy of the interactions when we have hundreds of creative entrepreneurs from around the world interacting LIVE in the chat room. You’ve got to experience the session live for the full-on effect (and to see all the chat names in a rainbow of creative colors)! So if these videos spoke to you, imagine what it would be like to share your light-bulb moments or ask questions of me, the speakers, or your fellow cohorts in real-time.

Our next session starts at 10am PDT Monday, April 14th, so check it out! I’d love to see you.

Right-Brainers in Business Video Summit

During our final week of the summit we’ll have interviews with Melanie Duncan, Cory Huff, Christine Kane, Alexandra Franzen, and Marney Makridakis. Plus Spotlights with Beth Barany, Susan Miller, and Kiala Givehand.

We’re also giving away more than $2000 worth of prizes throughout the whole summit!
